ABOUT US

　　The Public Technology Service Center was established in 2010 and consists of three departments: the Central Laboratory, the Biogeochemistry Laboratory, and the Library. The Center, which has been funded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), is not only an important technological supporting unit in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG), but it is also one of the most important parts of the Kunming Biological Diversity Regional Center of Instruments. It is one of public technology service centers with financial support priority in CAS. 　　Based on the discipline setting and innovation aims of the “1-3-5” project, the Center established three technical platforms: the Ecological Processes and Applied Ecology Research Platform, the Resource Plants Research Platform, and the Molecular Biology Experimental Platform. All these three platforms are equipped with top-performing instruments, providing good opportunities for many domestic and foreign scientists from different disciplines to conduct research. 　　The Center has 42 precision instruments with a total value of 35.67 million RMB, including many top-ranking large instruments, such as Stable Isotopic Analyzer, CN Analyzer, Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometer, Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry, Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry, Scanning Electron Microscope, Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope and MiSeq Gene Analyzer. 　　The Public Technology Service Center is r...
