Gene Gun System (Biolistic PDS-1000/He; USA)

Gene gun technology is also known as particle bombardment technology. The system quickly launches DNA-wrapped gold powder or tungsten particle into target plant cell or tissue, with assistance of high pressure helium. Gene Gun System is mainly used for generation of transgenic plants and studies around the function of target genes.
