Under the auspices of the Laboratory for Tropical Rain Forest Ecosystem Research and Management (TRERM) affiliated to XTBG, Dr. TANG Zhanhui has conducted studies on frugivorous bats and seed dispersals. His research activities resulted in 10 academic papers published, among which are 4 peer-reviewed papers in SCI journals.
His studies focused on diet behaviors of two fruit bats – Cynopterus sphinx and Rousettus leschenaultia, seed dispersals of Musa acuminate, Morus macroura, and Syzygium oblatum, and effect of ingestion by two fruit bats on seed germination of Ficus racemosa and Ficus hispida.
