As a research institution, XTBG also pays great attention to public education and eco-tourism based on its rich scientific achievements, diverse plant species, beautiful landscapes and its facilities like “Tropical Rainforest Ethnic Culture Museum”. Each year, it receives more than 500,000 visitors both from home and abroad, some of them are the top leaders of China and Royal members of other countries, as well as famous scientists. It has been designated as “National-level Education Base for Science”, “National Top-Level Tourist Scenic Spot” and “National Demonstration Scenic Spot for Tourism”.
