Ancistrocladus heyneanus Wall ex. J. Graham is an important medicinal plant, endemic to Western Ghats of India, belonging to the family Ancistrocladaceae. The family is unique with respect to the presence of Napthylisoquinoline alkaloids and the biological activity of its constituents, including anti-HIV. |
