Prof. Gao Jiangyun and his research team of XTBG applied to patent their two inventions. The two inventions named “A germination effective symbiotic fungus of Cymbidium bicolor seeds obtaining method” and “An effective symbiotic fungi germinated product producing method” have been recently authorized as China invention patents. The patent numbers are ZL 201210097484.7 and ZL 201210097505.5 respectively.

   Description:

1.  A germination effective symbiotic fungus of Cymbidium bicolor seeds obtaining method involves using dead twigs, fallen leaves, bark, moss and humus around an original habitant of Cymbidium bicolor as culture medium. The culture medium and the seeds of Cymbidium bicolor are subjected to ex-site symbiotic germination to induce the seeds to germinate and generate protocorms. The surface of each obtained protocorm is sterilized and cultured with artificial culture medium under sterile condition. Endophytic fungus is induced in the protocorms to grow, and the fungus is purified to obtain a pure colony after mycelia is appeared. The obtained fungus and the seeds of Cymbidium bicolor are subjected to symbiotic germination culturing and a control experiment is performed to check the effectiveness of the obtained fungus to germination of the seeds of Cymbidium bicolor. The germination effective symbiotic fungus for the seeds of Cymbidium bicolor is screened, and the fungus is subjected to molecular identification and storage.

 2.   An effective symbiotic fungi germinated product producing method involves performing artificial pollination process on different Dendrobium aphyllum, harvesting matured fruit, drying seeds in sealed glass container free from bacteria, storing at 20 degrees C, sterilized by utilizing forceps for 100-200 Dendrobium aphyllum seeds, folding nylon net cloth, heating by the three-side sealed position, monitoring and recovering resultant product, selecting a pocket lip dendrobe adult plant natural growth from different places, placing the seed bag in the Dendrobium aphyllum adult plant trunk of the plant root parts, covering the upper part with a layer of moss, setting the germination condition of the seeds and recycling all seed bag by utilizing tap water, sodium hypochlorite solution, cutting surface for culturing at potato glucose culture medium potato dextrose agar (PDA), cutting the mycelium by sterilizing inoculating needle, and transferring to obtain pure strain. The method further involves preparing uniform suspension by adding seed suspension pocket lip dendrobe seed into sterile water, followed by cultivating resin base, respectively absorbing 150 mu l of uniformly distributed on two pieces of filter paper comprising single symbiotic fungi pure culture of agar block culture medium centre, sealing by sealing film, classifying the protocorm seed germination and growth, and selecting effective symbiotic fungus for the Dendrobium aphyllum seed germination.
