According to the Assessment Report on Soil Monitoring Data of CERN, in 2004 the soil monitoring data quality of Ailaoshan Forest Ecosystem Research Station ranks first among the 11 Forest and Grassland stations subordinate to the Chinese Ecosystem Research Center (CERN).

Since its accession to the CERN by the end of 2002, Ailaoshan Forest Ecosystem Research Station has made great progress in many aspects under the guidance of the CERN and XTBG leaders. By closely linking with the concerned research groups, the data monitoring, analyzing, processing and reporting are all strictly in line with the CERN criteria, which help a lot to improve its monitoring level on the whole.

Although progress has been made, the station will never stop before its achievements. It will reinforce its advantages and overcome its disadvantages, so as to make comprehensive improvements. It will try its utmost to make breakthroughs and contribute more to the scientific and social development. More cooperation and exchanges will be carried out between the station and other research institutions both home and abroad.
