Dr. Song Songquan, who’s a leading professor in charge of XTBG studies on seed biology, has been appointed as the ISSS regional representative for Eastern Asia by the International Society for Seed Science (ISSS). His duration term is from the year of 2005 to 2008.

The International Society for Seed Science was inaugurated on January 28, 1999 at the 6^th International Seed Workshop in Merida, Mexico. Its objects are “the advancement of education and research for the public benefit in the scientific study of seeds".

  ISSS is a non-profit organization with a registered office in England. Seed Science Research is its official journal.
