We are interested in studying the underlying mechanisms of formation and regulation of important traits in crops. Using functional genomics techniques including single-cell/nucleus and spatial transcriptomes, combining genetic, biochemical, molecular and other methods, we focus on deciphering the functions of important genes and the genetic regulatory networks of stomatal development and movement in grasses, laticifer development and latex synthesis in rubber trees. The final goal of our research is to obtain new varieties with higher yield and resistance by molecular breeding.
