Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope (ZEISS LSM710 and Imager Z2; Germany)
The confocal laser scanning microscope can be used to observe cellular morphology, to quantitatively analyze intracellular biochemical components, and to measure optical density statistics. Therefore, it is a crucial equipment for cell biology research. It is exclusively used to research the subcellular structure, the transportation of vesicles, organelles and protein complexes, molecular interactions, and the dynamic changes of the cytoskeleton, cell division and cell development, and other important life activities. It is also used to observe the structure and activity of intracellular distribution.
