The C5000 calorimeter system is used to determine the calorific value of plant materials. The calorific values reflect the energy utilization efficiency of the plants, and are related to the energy allocation and the processes of the energy cycle in the ecosystem. A tablet press is available for preparing the plant samples for the calorimeter.
