Phytotron (GR-8; China)

Date:2016-11-10

The Phytotron consists of 8 chambers, 6-10 m2 each. They can be manually controlled to simulate microclimatic changes by changing three parameters: temperature, humidity, and light. The chambers can be used for seed germination and plant growing experiments. The use of phytotron can assist study of the theoretical basis of species conservation, cultivation optimization, and sustainable utilization of resource plants. Through simulating the climatic conditions, these chambers can also be used to investigate how the resource plants response to climate changes.
