A 5-person delegation of CAS Kunming Branch and Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) visited research institutions and universities in Thailand from September 17-25. The visit aimed to further deepen cooperation with Thai partners. Prof Zhou Jie of CAS Kunming Branch headed up the visit.

The delegation visited Kasetsart University, Chiang Mai University, and Queen Sirkit Botanic Garden, and the Program Office of the CAS Southeast Asia Biodiversity Research Institute (CAS-SEABRI) in Kasetsart University. They discussed  cooperation in science and technology and personnel training with Thai partners. They also reached consensus on signing MoU with King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi.

The delegation also made field visits to forest dynamics plots, mountain filed stations and agriculture research centers.
