Winners of the 2020 CAS President's Award and Outstanding Tutor Award were announced in Beijing recently. Among those winners, Prof. Chen Jianghua from Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) was conferred on the Outstanding Tutor Award.

Prof. Chen Jianghua’s research interest include the signal transduction mechanism of legume leaf movement, functional genomics and molecular marker assisted breeding in legume and rice, and the secondary metabolism and regulation of active ingredients in major economic plants at the southwest of China.

He has dedicated to cultivate master and doctoral students in recent years. Some of his students have made great research progress. His Ph.D student He Liangliang is honored with the Special Prize of CAS Presidential Scholarship 2020.

Prof. Chen Jianghua has made his studies published in Nature Plants, PNAS, Plant Cell, New Phytologist, Nature Communications, Plant Cell, Plant Physiology, Journal of Experimental Botany, etc.
