Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST) has recently announced the name list of its fifth batch of chief scientific communication experts in China. Prof. Chen Jin, director of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG), is on the list of 267 people.

Recommended by Botanical Society of China, Prof. Chen Jin is invited as a chief scientific communication expert in the field of ecology and science communication in China. The tenure is three years.

According to related regulations, the chief scientific communication experts will lead in popular science activities and contribute to improvement of science popularization and social influence.

The other seven experts recommended by Botanical Society of China include Li Sifeng, Zhang Shouzhou, Jiang Mingxi, Ren Hai, Guan Kaiyun, Zhao Zuntian, and Li Mei.
