10 new members join Chinese Union of Botanical Gardens

The second Board of Directors Meeting of the Chinese Union of Botanical Gardens (CUBG) was held in Wuhan on November 20. The meeting reviewed and approved of applications of 10 botanical gardens for getting a membership of the CUBG. With addition of the 10 new botanical gardens, the CUBG has 96 members all over the country up to now.

   At the board meeting, CUBG chairman Chen Jin made a summary report on the CUBG programs. CUBG secretary general Hu Huabin reported work of the Secretariat over the past year.

  The board meeting also discussed the 13th 5-year work plan.

  Prof. Chen Jin, chairman of CUBG and director of XTBG, was optimistic about development of CUBG. He was confident that CUBG will reach a new level in the near future.
