Staff representatives gather to discuss work in five years

The two-day Annual Meeting 2015 of the Staff and Workers Representatives Congress was held on August 17-18, with attendance of 47 voting representatives and 22 non-voting delegate. The meeting provided a platform to discuss development planning the coming five years.

Prof. Chen Jin, director of XTBG, delivered a report entitled “Scientifically design development of XTBG in the 13th 5-year plan, promoting sustainable and harmonious development of XTBG”. He also deployed the major work tasks in 2015.

 The staff representatives deliberated and passed the work report by Chen Jin, a financial report on “financial final accounts in 2014 and financial budget for revenues and expenditures in 2015” made by Ms. Dong Mengyun, and a report on “the implementation of draft resolutions in 2014”, and two other reports.

 New chairman of Worker Union and members of the committee were selected at the meeting. 37 draft resolutions were submitted at the meeting.

In his concluding speech, Prof. Chen Jin said that the meeting was well prepared, rich in contents, smoothly scheduled, in accordance with standard procedure, and orderly organized. He called on the staff members to work together to reach the goal of becoming one of the first-class botanical garden in the world.
