Mr. Liu Xiaofeng, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the central vice executive chairman of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, paid a visit to Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) on April 15.

Prof. Hu Huabin, deputy director of XTBG, showed the guests around the Flower Garden, Distinctive Plant Collection, Palm Garden, Commemorative Plant Garden, Vine Garden, History Museum, Shade Plant Garden and Research Center.

 During the visit, the guests were briefed XTBG’s achievements in scientific research, species conservation, tourism and public education. Vice chairman Liu Xiaofeng praised beautiful landscape of XTBG. He also showed interest in the tropical plant species. He especially visited the orchid show at Shade Plant Garden.
