Mr. Zaw Win Myint, director of Forest Research Institute of Myanmar, headed up a 4-person delegation to Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) on November 22-23. The visit was for further promoting the construction of the CAS Biodiversity Research Center in Myanmar. 

Dr. FAN Zexin and some other scientists of XTBG held a meeting with the Myanmar delegation. The two sides had a detailed discussion on the readiness preparations of the CAS Biodiversity Research Center. The two sides will continue to strengthen the cooperation between Myanmar and the CAS. The Forest Research Institute of Myanmar is willing to provide support for the construction of the biodiversity center.  

The visit is based on the signed MoU between XTBG and Myanmar Ministry of Environmental Conservation and Forestry (MoECAF) in June 2013. Further and deeper cooperation will be enhanced between the two sides.
