Prof. Chen Jin headed up a 6-person delegation of XTBG to Myanmar during September 2-6, at the invitation of MyanmarMinistry of Environmental Conservation and Forestry. The delegation was composed of Chen Jin, Cao Min, Quan Ruichang, Fan Zexin, Yang Qing, and Li Ren. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between XTBG and Myanmar Ministry of Environmental Conservation and Forestry (MoECAF) in June 2013. To follow up the MoU, project implementation meeting between officials from MoECAF and XTBG was to be conduced in Nay Pyi Taw, Mayanmar in the first week of September 2014. After talking with XTBG delegation, scientists and officials from University of Forestry, Institute of Forestry showed intention of further cooperating in graduate student training, field biodiversity survey, workshop, and scientific research. XTBG delegation and MoECAF officials held discussion on cooperation details in coming three years. The two sides agreed to deepen and expand cooperation on the basis of the signed MoU.
