Prof. John C. Wingfield of NSF visits XTBG

Prof. John C. Wingfield, the assistant director for Biological Sciences (BIO) at the National Science Foundation (NSF), paid a visit to XTBG during July 7-10, at the invitation of XTBG deputy director CAO Min. His visit was for academic exchange.

Listening to introduction by Cao Min, Prof. John C. Wingfield spoke highly of scientific output and international cooperation activities of XTBG. He delivered a lecture entitled “Biology and environment at the National Science Foundation, Directorate for Biological Sciences”.

Prof. John C. Wingfield and his companions also paid field tours to the research facilities of Xishuangbanna Tropical Rainforest Ecosystem Station.
