The Science and Technology Awards Conference of Xishuangbanna Prefecture was held on March 20. One research achievement of XTBG won the first prize of Xishaungbanna Award for Science and Technology Progress, the other two won second prize.

The first prize winner was “Breeding of varieties of multiflorous physic nut (Jatropha curcas L) and their regional test”, completed by Asso. Prof. Yang Chengyuan and his colleagues.

The second prize winners of research achievements were “Construction of core germplasm of wood-oil tree (Vernicia montane) and its genetic diversity studies” and “Introduction and cultivation of Inca Peanut (Plukenetia volubilis), mainly completed by Yang Qing and Tang Shouxian respectively.
