The nameplate unveiling ceremony for the Yuanjiang Hot and Dry Valley Observation Station was held in Yuanjiang County on September 18.

The unveiling ceremony was presided over by Dr. Cao Min, deputy director of XTBG, and attended by officials and leaders from Yuxi city government, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and CAS Kunming Branch.

After the ceremony, a consultation seminar on development and planning of Yuanjiang ecological station was held. The participating experts provided suggestions for the future development of the station to be a long-term monitoring, research, demonstration, and cooperation base for hot and dry valley ecosystems in China.
