According to the agreement, XTBG will play a main role in establishing the Jingdong subtropical botanical garden while Jingdong local government will provide site land and other work.

Jingdong County is rich in subtropical plant resources and boasts a sound ecological environment. The establishment of the subtropical botanical garden is conducive to protect such important subtropical plant species as Theaceae, Lauraceae, Fagaceae, and Magnoliaceae, etc. Meanwhile, it will boost eco-tourism in Jingdong County.

The construction of Jingdong subtropical botanical garden is to start from June 2012.
