The year of 2010 witnessed all-around development of XTBG. In 2010, XTBG received 31.2 million RMB in research funds from 61 new projects, got 91 research papers published in internationally peer-reviewed journals, organized a series of international conferences and symposia, improved research facilities, reconstructed some living collections, expanded germplasm collections, etc.

In addition to robust graduate training, more public education activities were organized. More visitors enjoyed tours and received education programs.

The most important event was that Prof. Chen Jin, director of XTBG,was listed “Top 10 National Outstanding Science & Technology Workers”.
