Mr. Liu Ping, vice governor of Yunnan Province, presided over a meeting to listen to construction plans of XTBG in the third phase (2011-2015) in the administrative building of Yunnan Provincial Government, Kunming on July 13. The work report was made by Prof. Chen Jin, director of XTBG.

Dr. Chen Jin introduced overall planning of the reconstruction and upgrading of Green Stone Forest scenic spot, Cai Xitao Environmental Education Center, renovation and expanded construction design of XTBG Hotel.

Vice Governor Liu Ping acknowledged the general planning in the third phase construction of XTBG. He emphasized the importance of reconstructing and upgrading the Green Stone Forest scenic spot. He also instructed constructive suggestions on characteristics of scenic spots, tourism development, ecological restoration, and use of Luosuo River.

The Green Stone Forest is expected to be made into a uniquely featured primary tropical rainforest scenic spot, complementing with the artificial landscapes of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG), said the vice governor.

Mr. Li Hongwei, CPC secretary of XTBG,  Dr. Li Qingjun, deputy director of XTBG, Mr. Chen Qizhong, vice governor of Xishuangbanna prefectural government, and concerned leaders of tourism administrations were also present at the meeting.
