Press Briefing of newly awarded 5A National Tourist Attractions

A press briefing of the three newly awarded 5A National Tourist Attractions in Yunnan Province (namely Dali Chongsheng Temple and the Three Pagoda Tourist Area, the Ancient Town of Lijiang, Yunnan, andXishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden) was held on July 15, in Kunming.

The press briefing was organized by Yunnan Provincial Tourism Administration, which brought together officials and responsible persons of scenic spots, travel agencies, and media agencies.

Mr. Xiang Dingcheng, director of Yunnan Provincial Tourism Administration, addressed the press briefing. He expressed congratulations to the newly awarded 5A national tourist attractions, and urged sustained efforts to increase tourism income. The scenic spots should accomplish the sustainable development of tourism industry by realizing the superiority of tourism products, improving service, and directing a leap forward in the predominance of tourism economy, added the director.

Mr. Li Hongwei, CPC secretary and deputy director of XTBG, briefed the process of XTBG trying to promote its scenic spot to the top level and its planning since the promotion.
