The Yuanjiang Hot and Dry Valley Observation Station has been officially put into use in July.

Focusing on savanna ecosystems, the main tasks of the station are to assist in savanna ecology and conservation biology, seek measures to recover degraded vegetations, and be a base for some important ecological studies.

The meteorological observatory will record the meteorological elements of air temperature, wind speed, wind direction, sunshine duration, and precipitation, etc.
