CAS has recently announced the results of “Wang Kuancheng Talents Award” for the year of 2011. Approved by “Wang Kuancheng Education Fund”, Dr. Zhang Shibao of XTBG was awarded “CAS Wang Kuancheng Award for Outstanding Achievements to Western Scholars”, and Dr. Xing Yaowu will be financially supported by the “Wang Kuancheng Postdoctoral Fellowship of CAS”.

Dr. Zhang Shibao is now an assosiate professor of XTBG. He focused his research on plant physiological ecology. He has published some research papers in such peer-reviewed journals as Global Ecology and Biogeography, Photosynthetica, and Physiologia Plantarum.
