Vice Foreign Minisster Song Tao paid a visit to XTBG. on April 28.

Prof. Dr. Li Qingjun, deputy director of XTBG, accompanied the vice minister a tour to such elite living collections as Flower Garden, Distinctive Plant Collection, Palm Garden, and Commemorative Plant Collection, and the Tropical Rainforest Ethnic Culture Museum within XTBG.

In front of the Memorial of Prof. Cai Xitao, founder of XTBG,  Mr. Song Tao showed his respect to the eminent late botanist. He also encouraged the younger generation of XTBG to carry forward the spirit of Cai Xitao and contribute more to regional biodiversity conservation and local development.

Vice Minister Song Tao expressed appreciation for XTBG’s active particiaption in S&T cooperation with countries of GMS subregion.
