Feasibility studies for setting up the “Savanna Research Station in Yuanjiang”, a field station for dry and hot valley ecosystems, passed the scrutiny of a panel of 18 experts on October 17, 2007.

After listening to introduction respectively made by XTBG deputy director Dr. Cao Min and vice head of Yuanjiang County of the overall plan and implementation scheme of the project, the experts went through a course of discussion and questioning. Then they expressed unanimous support of the scheme and put forward some constructive suggestions.

Since the feasibility study has finished, the establishment of Savanna Research Station in Yuanjiang is to be inaugurated as soon as possible.
