On May 26, Mr. Jiang Pusheng, the CPC secretary of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, headed up a 9-person group of local officials to XTBG to check the progress in tourism construction and studies on energy plants.

  After making field tours at the new bridge, tropical brilliant flowers garden, palm garden, the tissue culture laboratory of Chinese teak, and the cultivation base for Jatropha curca and Boehmeria nivea, the CPC secretary held talks with XTBG major leaders and relevant scientific staff.  Dr. Chen Jin, director of XTBG, presided over the meeting. Relevant administrators introduced progress in the ongoing tourism construction projects and studies on the energy plants.

  Jiang Pusheng urged relevant officials of the local government to integrate consideration of XTBG tourism construction in the second phase with the construction of elite tourism township of Menglun, and to vigorously implement the construction as soon as possible.
