With the implementation of CAS “Light in Western China” Program, each year two staff members of XTBG are funded by it since 1997. In 2007, good news still comes. Assoc. Prof. Shen Youxin and Gao Jiangyun have been ratified to be funded.

  Assoc. Prof. Shen Youxin’s research project on the ecological restoration of degraded vegetation in Karst uplands, and Gao Jiangyun’s studies on ginger plants will get financial support of 250,000 and 200,000 RMB respectively from the Program.
