On November 17, Mr. Luan Enjie, director of China National Space Administration (CNSA), made a special visit to XTBG, heading up a 14-person investigating group. Mr. Luan Enjie is former vice-minister of the Commission of Science, Technology, and Industry for National Defense (COSTIN), chief commander of the lunar satellite project, and a member of the 10^th CPPCC National Committee. Related officials of the CPPCC Yunnan provincial committee and Xishuangbanna prefectural committee accompanied their visit.

Mr. Li Hongwei, deputy director of XTBG, reported the general situation, corporate identity, innovation project, development prospect, main achievements, and problems, etc. Mr. Li also sincerely answered questions put forward by the investigating group. The investigating group spoke highly of XTBG and gave some suggestions on the commercialization of research findings.After Li’s report, the visiting group looked around the living plant collections and the Tropical Rainforest Ethnic Culture Museum within the Garden.
