ADB and XTBG discuss the construction of “Xishuangbanna Biodiversity Conservation Corridor”

During April 13-15, Dr. Hasan Moinddin, an ADB consultant, and Dr. Chen Jin, director of XTBG, held discussions on the detailed work plan, budgeting and management mechanism for the program named “The Construction of Xishuangbanna Biodiversity Conservation Corridor”, which is to be inaugurated soon. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) provides technical assistance for the program. The number of the program is ADB TA 6289.

In order to guarantee the smooth implementation of the Project in Phase I (2006.1 -2008.12), the responsibilities of the concerned agencies and the interests of the local communities are fully taken into consideration. Agreement has been reached.

 

  In addition, Dr. Hasan Moinuddin accepted another grant proposal submitted by XTBG.

 

  On invitation, Prof. Chen Jin and Prof. Zhu Hua are going to participate in the Inaugural Workshop of the Program held from April 24to 28 in Bangkok, Thailand.
