XTBG and international institutions sign MoUs

Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) has signed a series of Memorendums of Understanding (MoUs) with institutions worldwide.Following is a list of MoUs and cooperation aspects:

XTBG shall:

a.  Assess the current status, distribution and abundance of species, examine the threats to species with emphasis on those species designated as threatened and fully protected with Myanmar.

b.  Provide training to FD staff

c.  Submit the project description

d.  Covering all costs related to the project activities

e.  Submit interim reports and one final report.

 

FD shall:

a.  Assign FD staff to work with XTBG to execute project activites.

b.  Assist in getting permission for visa and travel arrangement

c.  Participating in training and workshop conducted under the MoU.

d.  Implement the project activities under the MoU.

 Reciprocal visits by members of OTS and XTBG to support the development of collaborative efforts to support education, training and research opportunities. The aim of these meetings andworkshops will be to foster the participation of scientists, experts and students from both institutions in joints research activities research and exchanges by graduate students in both locations, and membership and full incorporation of XTBG into the consortium of institutions working globally in tropical studies.
