Dr. Mareike Roeder, a postdoc of XTBG, has been recently informed that she will be supported by theResearch Fund for International Young Scientists of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The funding period is 12 months, with 200,000 RMB.

According to NSFC, the Research Fund for International Young Scientists is oriented to encouraging excellent young foreign scientists to conduct basic research in mainland China, so as to promote the research collaboration and academic exchanges among Chinese and foreign scientists.

Launched in 2009, the Research Fund for International Young Scientists has sponsored 160 foreign young scientists with 31 million RMB.
