The 10th International Symposium on Fig-fig Wasp Biology was held at Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) on July 16-17, in the forms of online and offline via the ZOOM platform.
The Symposium was hosted by XTBG and funded by the CAS Bureau of International Cooperaton. 118 representatives from 15 countries and regions participated in the Symposium, breaking a new high record of participants in the fig symposium.

4 invited plenary speeches, 17 special presentations, 11 poster presentations and an abstract book consisting 32 abstracts brought the participants to understand the recent progress in fig-fig wasp biology.
The participants exchanged ideas on the most recent development on fig and fig wasp studies since 9th International Fig Symposium held in France in 2016, discussed new hot spots in coevolution of fig and fig wasps, especially the integrative studies on fig-fig wasp complex populations, by combining traditional and new technologies, etc.
After fulfilling the international fig symposium, XTBG hosted the advanced training courses of tropical keystone species fig trees and fig wasps in one belt one road countries. The 9-day training course invited 13 experts from USA, France, UK, South Africa, Thailand, Brazil, and China to give lectures. Combining lectures and field studies, the training brought participants to understand fig-fig wasp mutualism, systematic taxonomy, chemical studies, ect.
