XTBG participates in EcoSummit 2012

The 4th International Eco-Summit was held in Ohio, USA during September 30 and October 5. Themed with “Ecological sustainability: restoring the Planet’s ecosystem services”, the conference brought together more than 1,0500 delegates from 75 countries. Prof. Liu Wenyao and Dr. Song Liang of XTBG participated in the summit and made presentations.

The plenary session

TheEco-Summit 2012 covered such topics as ecological restoration and ecological engineering, estimating ecosystem services, global change, ecosystem management, and sustainable economics and business practices, etc.

Prof. Liu Wenyao made a presentation entitled “Response of epiphytic bryophytes to simulated N deposition in a subtropical montane cloud forest in Southwestern China”. Dr. Song Liang’s presentation was about “Negative effects of climate change on non-vascular epiphytes in a montane moist evergreen broadleaved forest, SW China”.
