A collaborative Agreement was signed between the Faculty of Science of Chiang Mai University and Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) on February 14.

As representatives of the two sides, Dr. Sampan Singharajwarapan, Dean of Faculty of Science of Chiang Mai University and Dr. Chen Jin, director of XTBG, signed the cooperation agreement. The agreement is valid in five years.

According to the Agreement, the two sides will cooperate in scientific research, academic collaboration, faculty staff and student exchange, graduate training, information exchange, and talents cultivating.

Chiang Mai University (CMU) was founded in January 1964, under a Royal Charter granted by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej as the first institution of higher education in Northern Thailand, and is the first provincial university in Thailand. It is one of Thailand’s foremost institutes of higher education.
