An 18-person delegation from Chiangrai Rajabhat University, Thailand paid a visit to XTBG on March 16. The delegation was headed up by Dr. Yingyong Taoprasert, director of the School of Traditional and Alternative Medicine.

Prof. Dr. Chen Jin, director of XTBG, met with the delegation. He said that XTBG has been keeping good cooperation ties with many universities and botanical gardens of Thailand. It plays an important role in regional biodiversity conservation in Southeast Asia.

 Dr. Yingyong Taoprasert is attracted by XTBG’s achievements in ethno-botanical studies and biodiversity conservation.

The two sides showed cooperation intention for cultivating senior research talents in traditional Dai medicine.

 Prof. Dr. Chen Jin is to visit Chiangrai Rajabhat University soon on invitation.
