XTBG has recently made a formal agreement with Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden (QSBG)on herbaria specimen exchange. The program is aimed to promote sharing of natural resources and scientific data between China and Thailand and further collaborate in plant diversity conservation. According to the Agreement, 10,000 sheets of mounted specimens will be exchanged between the two sides in the future. Afterwards, the Agreement may be renewed if necessary.

The Exchange program is conducted subject to legal requirements for the international exchange of botanical material, and observes the desirability of repatriation of data and duplicate specimens.

    The program is designed to facilitate scientific study, including studies into the conservation, management, identification, classification and taxonomy of species.  Particular attention will be given to obtaining specimens of geographical or taxonomic priority.  Agreed upon by both parties, specimens of good quality, adequately labeled and undamaged will be distributed or exchanged.
