During February 12 and 15, a 4-person delegation from US and Canada universities paid a visit to XTBG. The delegation was composed of Dr. Qiu Yinlongfrom University of Michigan, Dr. James Alan Doyle from University of California, Dr. Andrea Dayle Wolfe from Ohio State University and Dr. Sean Warren Grahamfrom University of British Columbia.

The delegation was warmly welcomed. Prof. Dr. Li Qingjun and Prof. Dr. Hu Huabin met with the guests. Dr. Hu Huabin gave a brief introduction to XTBG, including its history, scientific research, personnel training and disciplinary construction. The delegation expressed the will of cooperating with XTBG in terms of personnel exchange and joint research in such relevant areas as tropical biology, ecology and resource plants, etc.

The delegation also made field visits to the living collections, Herbarium, research station, Museum and the 20-ha plot.
