| President of World Forestry Center visits XTBG |

Prof. Dr. Gary Hartshorn, president and CEO of World Forestry Center, visited XTBG on May 9 at the invitation of the Garden.
During his stay in XTBG, Dr. Hartshorn exchanged ideas with Dr. Chen Jin on how to promote biodiversity conservation and research in tropical Asian-Pacific regions. He also delivered a lecture entitled “Will Tropical Forests survive the 21st Century?”
