With an objective of recruiting overseas professionals, Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) held a recruitment interview on September 9.

9 professors from Fudan University, Kunming Institute of Botany, Kunming Institute of Zoology, and XTBG formed the interview jury. The candidates for the interview were chosen on the basis of CV appraisals.

 After the candidates made presentations, the expert panel put questions to them and then the candidates defended their own ideas. Consequently the panel got such specific information about the candidates as the area of expertise, career goals, innovation abilities, etc.

   The three candidates were Dr. Charles H. Cannon JR. and Dr. ZHANG Yaoqi from the United States, and Dr. Mihai Serban Proches from Romania.
