The China Scholarship Council (CSC) has recently announced results of the Chinese Government Scholarship - High-level Postgraduate Program. Four graduate students from the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) were granted scholarships for studying abroad. 3 Master's graduate students will go to Europe for doctoral studies: Chen Mingbo (University of Konstanz, Germany), Chen Liqiu (Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany), and Liu Yaqi (University of Helsinki, Finland). One Ph.D student Zou Yike will go to the Julius Kühn-Institut in Germany for a 12-month joint training program. The Chinese Government Scholarship - High-level Postgraduate Program was established in 2007, aiming to select top-notch students to study at first-class institutions and research organizations abroad, under the guidance of leading scholars. The goal is to cultivate a group of outstanding innovative talents with an international perspective, familiarity with international rules, and the ability to participate in international affairs and competition. XTBG has been attaching importance to the cultivation of international perspectives and innovative abilities among graduate students. Through the "bring in, go out" talent plan, it hires international mentors, recruits international students, and sends graduate students to renowned universities and research institutions abroad for further study.
