Using Datura metelL. and Datura stramoniumL. as parent generation, a new hybrid variety was successfully derived by gardeners of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG).
The hybrid variety combines some desirable traits of the two parents. The flower color and form are in-between of the two parents, but their growth vigor and rate are much higher.
