An exhibition themed “Amazing Xishuangbanna Tropical Rainforest” is opened at Chengdu Botanical Garden on September 26, which is jointly sponsored by Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) and Chengdu Botanical Garden. The exhibition is aimed to bring the beauty of tropical rainforest to citizens in Chengdu, experience tropical flavor, know diversity of animals, plants, and ethnic cultures, so as to further promote ecological civilization. 

The exhibition 51 seeds and fruits, 18 plant specimens and forest products, 50 folk custom products, 14 cultural products, photos of rainforest eco-culture and folk customs in Xishuangbanna, etc. The most eye-catching are 14 living plant and animal species including orchid mantis, Rhacophorus rhodopus, Parashorea chinensis, Antiaris toxicaria, and dancing grass, etc. 

On the opening day, tour guides of Dai nationality showed the visitors around the exhibition and told stories of rainforest ethnic culture of Xishuangbanna.  

The exhibition is planned to last until January 4, 2024.
