The 4th bird watching festival in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) will be held during January 1-2 of 2014.  Over 15 bird or environment protection organizations from both domestic and overseas are invited to participate in this significant campaign.

Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) is the only National 5A tourist attraction in Xishuangbanna. It covers an area of 11 square kilometers and is a precious base of biodiversity and a biological gene bank as well. Based on incomplete survey, there are over 180 recorded wild birds.  The tropical forest within XTBG is an important habitat for birds, including some endangered species.

Since 2011, XTBG organizes bird watching festival annually. We have some guides with extensive experience and local knowledge. In Xishuangbanna, you can observe some of the world’s most rare species of birds, explore the largest tropical botanical garden in China as well as experience the local culture.

Come and enjoy watching birds in XTBG! For more information, please contact Wang Ximin at wxm@xtbg.org.cn.
