An itinerant exhibition themed with “forests and human life” opened in Jingdong County on September 16. The activity was composed of photo show, popular science lectures, and nature learning games, etc.

The itinerant exhibition was funded by Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. Popular science staff of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) cooperated with local departments to present the show to the public, especially students and pupils. The activity is aimed at raising public awareness of rich biodiversity and colorful cultures, and environmental protection.

The photo show was illustrated with such topics as beautiful forests, unusual natural landscapes, plant treasures, insects and animals, colorful culture, etc. “To protect biodiversity and culture is to safeguard human beings themselves” is highlighted in the exhibition.

The itinerant exhibition is going to be continued in Mengla, Jinghong, and Menghai of Xishuangbanna in October.
